In late March 2021 the NSW Government announced $5.5 million in funding for the development of a Business Events Industry Support package, supporting jobs in the accommodation, entertainment, and tourism and business event sectors. As part of this package, the Kickstart 2021 Sydney Business Event Fund (Kickstart 2021) was established to drive conversion of pent-up demand for business events across Greater Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong. The program was designed to incentivise business event organisers to contract and hold their next small to medium-sized business event in Sydney in 2021.
Applications for Kickstart 2021 closed at 5 pm (AEST) Monday, 31 May 2021.

Business events in Regional NSW
The Regional Business Event Development Fund is available for business events held in Regional NSW (see website below). Applications for this Fund close on 11 June 2021 (or earlier if the available funds are expended).
